The Miami Dolphins came back in the fourth quarter to stun New England, 22-21 in an important divisional game yesterday. The Patriots got out to an early lead and had several chances to put the game away, but completely fell apart in the second half...again. New England had no trouble driving up and down the field throughout the game to the tune of over 400 yards of total offense, but missed multiple chances to score in the red zone.
One of these critical failures came on a direct snap to Sammy Morris in the I formation, where they failed to gain the required yardage. The other major missed opportunity after Tom Brady badly under threw Randy Moss in the end zone that resulted in an interception. The Patriots of old would regularly force opposing teams into little mistakes that resulted into wins. This year it seems the tables are turned.
